   This hyper-performance is traceable of Ruf enhancements of Porsche's turbocharged 3600cc flat-6. First, its twin KKK turbos are larger than Zuffenhausen specifications, giving peak boost of 16.0 psi versus the standard 13.1. Low-end performance is likely similar -but, Lordy, beyond about 3500rpm this boost is only accelerator tickle away. Maximum output is 520 bhp at 5800 rpm, with a torque peak of 505 lb.-ft. at 4800.
   This car is extremely fast. It can go head to head with a McLaren F1 at least at 150 mph, but then the McLaren pulls ahead to it's amazing top speed of 231 mph. But don't take this wrong. The CTR-2's 217 mph top speed is really good. I still say that if you have lots of the green stuff, but still can't aford a McLaren, and you want to go really fast, the CTR-2's price and speed will make you happy.
