   At a loose-fit 3890-lb. curb weight, the DB7 nevertheless accelerates briskly, reaching 60 mph in 6.2 seconds, although it would be easily carve its way into the high 5.0-sec. zone if not for a terrible case of rear-wheel tramp with a sudden clutch drop. Shifting is solid-feeling, if not short throw, and full-throttle runs to redline find the engine's urge climbing quite linearly, with little vibration at maximum revs. Off the line, the engine could probably use a touch more torque; remember, this is a 3.2 liter engine in a nearly 2-ton car.

UPDATES: The DB7 Vantage is just around the corner, with a V-12 engine producing around 400 bhp. Expect 0-60 times in the low five seconds range.
