Go inside the comfortable, suportive BWM seat, turn the ignition and listen as the glorious, 315 bhp inline-6 comes to life. Shift into 1st gear and head off for a twisty road. With its dual exhausts murmuring softly behind, the M Coupe goes through the air with a minimum of niose level and a maximum of stability. This is a taut little seater, just like the factory says. Tip into the throttle, however, and the variable valve timing kicks in, punctuating the stillness with its healthy note. Its power to weight ratio is lower than those in the M3 or M Roadster, so that makes it faster in acceleration times. Also handling is better than the M Roadster. It's fair to say that appearence alone isn't going to attract buyers. BMW sales consultants will have to get some backsides into those leather buckets for serious test drives. If and when they do, they may very well create converts. Thus, the M Coupe is more proof that beauty is not necessarily in the eye of the beholder. In this case, the centers of appreciation are likely to be well south, specifically, the visceral and gluteal regions. And it tickles those regions plenty.

UPDATES: Just like the M Roadter, this one gets the engine swap, with 315 bhp.
