Alive axle, a hot V-8 and you. Okay, so it isn't FitzGerald's "...jug of wine, a loaf of bread - and Thou...", but Chevrolet has seduced buyers now for more than 30 years with the union of horsepower, sporty styling and straightforward suspension. Add the quite reasonable price and it's an evergreen favorite, one of the longest-running models in the automotive history. For 1998, the Camaro gets a fresh face, more power and many detail improvements to keep the legend alive.
The pushrod engine is totally new, stronger and with non-siamesed heads and other changes for better breathing and higher rpm capability. The muffler is even 22 percent bigger. A 4-speed auto is standard for the Z28, and a 6 speed manual on the SS. The Camaro is the best and fastest muscle car and now, with its new engine, it will be better. But what awaits in the future of this car, when new Vettes will come?...
UPDATES: In its latest iteration, the Camaro was upped to 325 bhp and 350 lb.ft of torque.
UPDATES: Well the answer is here: what will happen to this car is that it won't be produced anymore or at least it will be out of production for some time. Same goes to the Firebird.
